In-Home Friendly Visitor

Providence ElderPlace helps older adults remain as healthy and independent as possible in the community for as long as possible. As volunteers we are helping support and enrich the lives of our participants. In-Home Friendly Visitors: The ElderPlace In-Home Friendly Visitors program provides one-on-one support to our participants within their living environment outside of the ElderPlace facilities. Many of our participants benefit greatly from one-on-one interactions; support can include but is not limited to playing games doing arts or crafts, singing, reading out loud, helping write letters, reminiscing and/ or engaging in light conversation. ElderPlace has 8 locations in Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties. Qualifications Ability to engage with many types of people Impartial to different living situations Good listening skills Dependable Willingness to commit to one year of volunteer service 18 + years of age
