ED Unit Secretary - Full-time - Nights - Emergency Department - Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia, GA

Responsibilities

• Carries out routine patient care duties and related activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Assesss direct and indirect needs of patients within scope of practice; plan and prioritize patient safety needs; implement and evaluate patient safety activities; communicate safety needs; maintain confidentiality; interact professionally with patients, families, and hospital staff.
• Respond promptly to patient safety needs; maintain initiative to adapt to changing needs; perform effectively in stressful situations; present a clean, neat, and professional appearance.

What You Will Do

• Assist with administrative and basic patient care tasks in the Emergency Department as directed.

What You Will Need

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS through American Heart Association is required at time of hire.
• Education: High School Diploma required. Formal specialty training preferred.
• Experience: No experience required. Medical terminology and behavioral health experience preferred.
