Description of Work Unit

TheColorado State University ( CSU ) School of Social Work( SSW ) is a nationally recognized program, offering both Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work degrees. It's part of theCollege of Health and Human Sciences, and its programs are accredited by theCouncil on Social Work Education

Position Summary

The NWIC High Fidelity Wraparound Coach will plan, develop, conduct, and administer behavioral health workforce development coaching aimed at human service professionals to improve their skills and knowledge in Wraparound Care-which provides comprehensive, individualized care to individuals with complex behavioral health needs. The coach will deliver training and technical assistance related to quality Wraparound Care implementation and workforce development, and report to the Program Directors on metrics related to training reach and fidelity. The NWIC HFW Coach will also provide technical support and training on CANS for all CO- SOC workforce.

Opportunities for this position include: (i) training the next generation of behavioral health professionals to meet the critical need for evidence-based programs for high-acuity youth and their families, and (ii) advanced training on the delivery of comprehensive well-being assessments to Colorado practitioners delivering evidence-based behavioral health programs to youth and families in Colorado.

Required Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Public/Business Administration, Communications, or a discipline appropriate to the training being conducted.

Four (4) years of related Wraparound Care experience

Prior experience with coaching and workforce development activities in the behavioral health field

Prior experience providing comprehensive assessment training and technical assistance in the behavioral health field

Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and management skills

Excellent training and group facilitation skills

Preferred Job Qualifications

Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Development, Education, Public/Business Administration, Communications, or a discipline appropriate to the training being conducted

Demonstrated ability to maintain high standards and awareness of current trends influencing coaching effectiveness

Demonstrated ability to learn new information and apply it to Wraparound Care coaching and technical assistance to ensure training is up-to-date and effective

Capacity to exercise initiative, resourcefulness, and sound judgment with an ability to solve problems

Demonstrated ability to make informed, effective, and timely decisions

Strong critical thinking skills that aid in assessing strengths and weaknesses of approaches to problems and the viability of various solution

Strong report writing and communication skills

Essential Duties

Duty/Responsibility

Serve as NWIC HFW Coach for the Colorado System of Care Workforce Capacity Center (CO- SOC WCC ) -

Leads specialized Wraparound Care consultation, training, and coaching efforts \

Assesses general and specific Wraparound Care training needs within the focus population using accepted methods appropriate to the training field

Establishes relationships/partnerships and collaborates with stakeholders to assess and develop long-term Wraparound Care training plans

Utilizes training aids, tools, online delivery methods, and evaluation materials to provide Wraparound Care coaching support to practitioners -

Identifies future Wraparound Care coaching and training needs

Creates strategies to ensure sustainability of Wraparound Care training and that Wraparound Care is effectively translated into practice

Monitors and provides technical assistance related to the fidelity of Wraparound Care and provides coaching feedback to inform needed actions to support implementation integrity

Utilizes data to inform decision-making in the types of technical assistance deemed most helpful

Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of Wraparound Care training through established evaluation measures

Compiles, analyzes, and interprets Wraparound Care training data

Reports on all Wraparound Care training efforts and progress to the Program Directors and Health Care Policy & Financing ( HCPF ) and Behavioral Health Administration ( BHA ) partner

Uses evaluation data to modify and adapt Wraparound Care training

Leads specialized CANS assessment consultation, training, and coaching efforts

Provides technical assistance on CANS for all CO- SOC workforce trained via the CO

Communicates regularly, in person or virtually, with the Program Directors and Program Manager

Develops, implements, and maintains effective mechanisms for ongoing relationships/partnerships with HFW sites

Other duties as assigned
