ACSM - American College of Sports Medicine Tutor role at Varsity Tutors, a Nerdy Company. Varsity Tutors Live Learning Platform connects online ACSM tutors with students nationwide. As a tutor, you’ll have the flexibility to set your own schedule, earn competitive rates, and make a real impact on students’ learning journeys—from the comfort of your home.

Responsibilities

• Tutor online via the Live Learning Platform with ACSM expertise.
• Set your own hours and tutor as much as you’d like.
• Match with students whose needs align with your teaching style and expertise.
• Prepare and deliver lessons, using the platform’s features to support instruction.
• Invoice for tutoring sessions; the platform handles payments and related logistics.

What We Look For In a Tutor

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, engaging teaching style.
• Expertise in ACSM and the ability to explain concepts clearly.
• Ability to personalize lessons and adapt to different learning styles.
• Priority given to those with tutoring experience, teaching experience, and graduate-level education.

Compensation & Perks

• Base contract rates start at $18/hour and increase for specialized subjects; potential to earn up to $40/hour with the same student.
• Get paid up to twice per week for tutoring sessions conducted and invoiced.
• Remote work—no commuting required.
• AI-powered Tutor Copilot provides real-time instructional support, lesson generation, and engagement features to save prep time.
• Handle invoicing; Varsity Tutors processes payments.
