At VCA Urgent Care Animal Hospital - Mar Vista, we're reshaping the future of veterinary medicine with an innovative, accessible approach to urgent care. We utilize a virtual waiting room system, allowing clients to wait comfortably at home until their pet is ready to be seen. Minimizing stress for both the owner and animal.

We're looking for a Care Concierge (CC) to join our dynamic team and be the welcoming face and guiding voice for our clients. If you're customer-focused, tech-savvy, and thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment, we want to hear from you.

As a Care Concierge, you are the primary point of contact for clients during their visit. You'll play a vital role in ensuring an efficient, compassionate, and seamless client and patient experience from check-in to checkout. You'll be the liaison between pet owners and our medical team, providing communication, education, and support every step of the way.

Key Responsibilities

Greet clients warmly and escort them to exam rooms

Manage incoming calls via multiline phone system

Act as medical scribe for veterinarians, entering EMR notes in real-time

Present treatment plans and answer client questions clearly

Provide progress updates to pet owners during treatment

Support veterinarians and technicians in delivering exceptional care

Review discharge instructions, medications, and follow-up steps

Process checkouts, payments, and insurance documentation (including Care Credit)

Follow up with clients regarding test results and recovery progress

Maintain accurate and organized medical records

Support hospital cleanliness and sanitation (including waste removal)

Qualifications

3+ years of client service experience in a veterinary or medical setting required

Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

Strong multitasking and organizational skills

Comfortable handling animals and learning restraint techniques

Familiarity with medical terminology (or willingness to learn)

Able to type 60+ words per minute

Friendly, action-oriented, and a natural team player

Experience with EMRs and comfort using digital tools

Available for weekend and holiday shifts

Full-Time | Open 7 Days a Week | Hours: 10 AM - 8 PM

Compensation:

$19 - $22 per hour (Based on experience and qualifications)
