Overview

The Cocktail Server is responsible for the prompt and courteous service of food and beverage, ensuring that the guest receives immediate professional attention. Ability to balance and carry service trays full of food or beverages.

Base pay range

$16.00/hr - $16.00/hr

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, take orders and serve guests promptly and politely.
• Open wine bottle and pour wine, refilling glasses as needed.
• Observe guests' progress and respond in timely manner to their needs.
• Carry orders on a tray to the table and serve to the correct person.
• Strive to increase guest check through suggestive sales techniques and alternatives.
• Prepare guests checks using InfoGenesis point of sale system, present the guest check, collect payment and make change accurately.
• Add garnishes to drinks.
• Monitor alcohol consumption and behavior of guests.
• Check drivers license or Passport to verify age of those who appear younger than 30 years old.
• Must complete RBS training within first 60 days of employment.
• Clean tables and fire pits and remove dishes and glassware.
• Set-up and maintain a clean work area.
• Perform opening and closing side work duties each shift as assigned.
• Maintain necessary stock of supplies, napkins, silverware and blankets.
• Buff glassware using polishing cloth, follow safety practices.
• Attend monthly meetings and wine seminars.
• Complete closing reports and drop all monetary transactions to include but not limited to charges, checks, due backs, gate receipts and cash at the end of each shift to the general cashier's office. Shift re-sets must be performed daily at the end of shift.
• When employee receives a Cash Drop Variance, they must respond immediately to their manager.
• Knows, models and integrates Pebble Beach Company culture (mission, values, and standards).
• Comply with the Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures.

Essential Skills

• Basic drink knowledge required.
• Good math and communication skills.
• Previous experience.
• Food safety and RBS certifications.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
