Job Overview

cFocus Software is seeking an Integration Engineer Senior / Solutions Architect (Automation / Integration Engineer) to support the Security Tools and Infrastructure Modernization (STIM) contract with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS).

The Integration Engineer will provide senior-level expertise in designing, automating, and integrating enterprise IT systems to support modernization, security, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

Design and implement enterprise systems integration solutions across applications, databases, and infrastructure. Possess over 8 years of experience designing and developing APIs and data integrations for enterprise IT systems, including at least 3 years working with an Enterprise Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) platform including RSA Archer. Design and build REST and SOAP-based API integrations between the GRC platform and external systems such as HSDW, CDM, CyberScope, and other HHS analytics tools. Develop secure, authenticated data flows using JSON/XML structures and aligned with HHS cybersecurity and privacy policies. Collaborate with developers and business analysts to define integration requirements and establish data transformation logic. Support HHS enterprise reporting by enabling automated data pulls from the GRC platform into metrics platforms and compliance dashboards. Monitor, test, and troubleshoot data exchange pipelines and ensure uptime, accuracy, and performance of integration solutions. Required Experience

8–10+ years of IT engineering, systems integration, and automation experience. Extensive experience developing automation solutions with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or similar tools. Hands-on expertise with APIs, microservices, and service-oriented architectures. Strong background in cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Proven ability to lead integration engineering efforts and provide architecture-level guidance. Education & Certifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). Preferred certifications include RSA Archer Certified Administrator, MuleSoft Developer, or relevant API security credentials. Clearance Requirement

Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust (Moderate to High-Risk) clearance.
