Software Develope r to join the

Systems Engineering Simulator Integrated Studies Team

with JETS.

The

Systems Engineering Simulator Integrated Studies Team Software Developer

will:

Work closely with customer to capture and manage simulation and software requirements. Design and develop software. Perform integration and testing of software with visuals and human-in-the-loop mock-ups. Perform software testing and verification. Troubleshoot simulation issues as they arise. Develop software documentation. Interface with customers for simulation sessions and studies, including setup, simulation execution and follow-up. Demonstrate simulations and facilities to SES visitors and customers. Perform rapid troubleshooting and resolving system issues. Effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Successfully operate in a highly dynamic simulations engineering environment with a team of engineers working to rapidly develop spacecraft simulation functionality. Strong customer focus, highly effective communication skills, and the ability to work in a dynamic, rapidly changing engineering environment with demanding customers on a compressed schedule. Required:

Typically requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstration of ability to work effectively as a member of a team. Experience with Linux. Computer programming experience. Requisition Preferences:

BS Degree in a STEM field from an accredited institution. Experience with the following programming/scripting languages:

C/C++ Python Tcl/Tk Java Javascript / JQuery PHP

Experience with the NASA "Trick" Simulation Environment. Experience with Object-oriented Programming. Experience with database manipulation (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.). Experience with shell scripting (e.g., Csh, Tcsh, Bash, etc.). Experience with debugging programs in general. Experience writing software for hardware interfaces (such as Ethernet, hand controllers, serial ports, etc.). Experience with the Git and/or Subversion version control systems. Why Join Our Team?

Work Environment

Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

Physical Requirements
