Everyone knows security needs to be baked in to a system architectureyou actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber engineering skills to design and develop secure systems for client? Were looking for an engineer who can help create solutions for a client that will withstand even the most advanced cyber threats.

As a cyber operations engineer at Booz Allen, youll develop innovative solutions to complex cyber risk problems, manage evaluation and accreditation of client systems, and apply technical solutions working in cloud environments. Youll work with various teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your clients needs and goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solutions, so youll investigate new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. As a team, well take a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of security and mission needs.

Your contributions will help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like endpoint-based detection, response EDR, multi-factor authentication, identity and access management, and advanced analytics. You Have:

4+ years of experience with securing Cloud infrastructure and applications in AWS GovCloud

Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) and DoD Cloud SRG requirements

Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework

Experience with decomposing high-level operational requirements into functional definitions, verification objectives, and full system specifications, and identifying enabling and critical technologies, constraints, and risks

Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), Nessus and ACAS Vulnerability scans, and ATO and IATT package requirements

Knowledge of cybersecurity policy fundamentals and NIST 8510.01, and how to translate these policies to frameworks such as ISO

Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or IAT Level III Certification within 6 months of hire

Nice If You Have:

Experience with analyzing network configurations and network architecture diagrams

Knowledge of network security and incident response procedures

Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server

Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence

AWS Certification

The projected compensation range for this position is $69,400.00 to $158,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allens total compensation package for employees.
