Overview
Cybersecurity Engineer role at SAIC in Washington, DC. This position is full-time with day shift responsibilities and requires TS/SCI with polygraph clearance. Remote work is not available.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity measures to protect infrastructure from cyber threats.
- Perform risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing to identify and mitigate cyber risks.
- Develop and manage cybersecurity plans, policies, and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
- Provide subject matter expertise to advise cybersecurity officials on regulations, projects, tools, etc., to support successful program execution.
Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- One of the following certifications: CySA+, Security+, GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), CISM, or CASP+.
- Experience implementing corrections, patches, or remediation activities.
- Experience supporting a broad range of tools across cloud, endpoint, identity, and network security domains.
- Experience with tools and platforms such as EDR, DLP, secure web gateway, email security, IDPS, firewalls, SIEM, and identity protection solutions.
- Proficiency in Windows and/or Linux system administration, scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash), and integrating cloud-native security technologies.
- Experience with establishing, implementing, and maintaining the A&A lifecycle using NIST RMF.
Leveling based on experience: Level I (0-4 years with a Bachelor's) or equivalent; Level II (5-8 years); Level III (9-17 years); Level IV (16+ years with a Master’s).
Additional Information
- Location: National Capital Region preferred; on-site support for MARS Advanced Development Operations (ADOS) program.
- Anticipated contract award decision by fall 2025; role contingent upon award.
- Target salary range: $160,001 - $200,000 (varies with experience and other factors).
