Job Description

Torch Technologies has an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Engineer to support the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center/PEO Digital Directorate (AFLCMC/HB). The Air Force Program Execution Office for PEO Digital (AFPEO/HB) manages over 130 programs for the United States Air Force (USAF) and foreign allies, overseeing modernization, development, testing, production, fielding, and sustainment. AFLCMC/PEO Digital is headquartered at Hanscom Air Force Base, MA, with geographically separated units.

This position requires a highly motivated individual with cybersecurity experience, including but not limited to:

  • Assist with development of System Security Management Plans, Program Protection Plans, Security Risk Analyses, OPSEC Plans, Certification and Accreditation, Vulnerability and Countermeasures Analyses, Security Concepts of Operations, and other security documents per MIL-STD 1785, DoDI 5000.02, and DoDI 8510.01.
  • Lead efforts in detecting, identifying, and reporting cyber attacks, intrusions, and misuse activities.
  • Use Computer Network Defense (CND) tools for monitoring and vulnerability testing.
  • Respond to cyber security incidents or anomalous activity.
  • Correlate incident data to identify vulnerabilities and recommend remediation.
  • Support system/application Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) activities, including assessing RMF activities and artifacts.
  • Update, monitor, and manage system information, user accounts, access controls, and PKI requirements.
  • Manage security updates and configurations, recommend policies, conduct risk assessments, and promote security awareness.
  • Participate in system design to ensure security policies are implemented.
  • Develop risk-based strategies to address security gaps and review cybersecurity implementations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure system approval via RMF A&A process.
  • Maintain databases related to classified information and conduct security inspections and training.

Qualifications include a Master's degree in engineering with at least 10 years of experience or a Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience, understanding of DoD cloud cybersecurity, Agile methodologies, and active Secret clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
