Description: Job Summary:The Registered Nurse is responsible for evaluating patients and assisting physicians with patient care.-Plans, implements, and documents nursing care based on patient s needs.-Identifies patient needs and determines priorities for care through assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation.-Develops, implements and coordinates individualized plan of care for patients assigned through initial and on-going assessments.-Initiates assessment based on the patient s problems or needs, the physician s medical diagnosis, and the functional health framework.-Performs therapeutic nursing interventions.-Manages care of patients.-Documents care based on standards of care and practice, patient acuity, and/or clinical priorities.-Advocates for evidence-based practice care standards and supports adoption of evidence-based practices and innovations in care delivery.-Provides patient centric care in alignment with professional nursing practice model.-Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Schedule Notes:7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Every Other Weekend Required. Holidays- At least one per season. No on Call. 13 Week assignmentMin 1-2 years of recent L&D experience Required. BLS-aha, ACLS-aha, and NRP Certifications all- Required. Mother/Baby and or Nursery Experience- Preferred. This is a LDPR (Labor/Delivery, Postpartum Recovery) Unit- both mother/baby and L&D on the same unitPatient Ratio: Varies everyday based on type of patients caring for. - Mother/Baby- 1:3-4- Labor Patient- 1:2Must be highly reliable and be available to work all days other then those that were pre-disclosed prior to offer. Must not have alternative jobs that would interfere with HMH schedule being a priority.Skills: Required Skills & Experience:-1+ year of experience in related specialty.Preferred Skills & Experience:-N/AEducation: Required Education:-ASN.Preferred Education:-BSN Preferred.Required Certifications & Licensure:-BLS must be AHA.Preferred Certifications & Licensure:-N/AJob Category: Clinical
