Job Function:
Under direction of the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor, the Maintenance Team Lead must provide support to production while following all safety procedures and policies.
Job Responsibilities: - Assist the Manager/Supervisor in leading the departmental safety guidelines, including housekeeping disciplines, and the investigation of all accidents and injuries. - Assist the Manager/Supervisor in leading the department's day to day operations. - Supports and Enforces departmental policies and procedures. - Assigns work to individuals and provides technical direction and help accomplish difficult work steps and processes if needed. - Motivates Technicians to operate as an effective work unit - Maintains work reports and records - Back up support to all Maintenance Techs who are on the job and may need extra assistance - Will serve as the lead contact between production and all maintenance technicians - Installs wiring, pneumatic, hydraulic, and PLC controls - Adjusts and calibrates machines - Removes, replaces, and or repairs machinery - Takes work orders out of maintenance system and completes in a timely manner - Completes parts requisitions in maintenance system with correct part numbers and vendors - Insures all safety and lock out / tag out procedures are followed - Initiates and participates in process improvements and is part of the implementation group - Initiates self-directed activities - Responsible for parts inventory - Provides schedules for preventative maintenance on equipment and adheres to the published standards
Physical Demands: - Standing: Most of the day (more than 5 hours per day) - Sitting: Most of the day (more than 5 hours per day) - Walking: Most of the day (more than 5 hours per day) - Bending: Occasionally - Lifting: medium (less than 100 lbs.) - Carry: medium (50- 80 lbs.) - Pushing/Pulling: under 50 lbs. without assistance frequently
Job Qualifications: - Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing environment and high-speed production equipment. - Ability to work, motivate, and train effectively with Maintenance technicians who have a variety of backgrounds and training experience - Ability to plan, work, and carry out assignments effectively - Must possess and demonstrate aptitude in the mechanical and electrical, machine controls and hydraulics, pneumatics/vacuum primary skill - Ability to clearly communicate and have above average interpersonal skills
Experience Requirement: - 5 years industrial maintenance to include pneumatics and hydraulics preferred - Technical School Training preferred considered in lieu of experience - Electrical license or 5 years industrial electrical experience preferred - Prior Supervisory Experience preferred.
