We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer with a strong Java development background to join our AI-focused engineering team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in building scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support AI-driven platforms.
Design and implement robust, scalable data pipelines using Java and Big Data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hive, Hadoop, Kafka).
Develop and optimize ETL workflows, manage data lakes, and ensure efficient data ingestion and transformation.
Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to deliver clean, well-structured data for model training and inference.
Build and maintain cloud-native data infrastructure on platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Ensure data reliability, scalability, and performance through thoughtful architecture and debugging practices.
Apply best practices in data security, API integration, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Pay Rate: $55-57/HR - Negotiable based on experience

Skills and Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6+ years of hands-on experience in Java development, with a focus on backend and data systems.
Proven experience with Big Data frameworks and streaming technologies (e.g., Spark Streaming).
Strong understanding of data engineering principles: ETL, data modeling, data lakes, and cloud storage.
Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Gradle) and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with AI/ML frameworks (e.g., OpenAI, LangChain, TensorFlow) is a plus
