MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented
International Trade Compliance Director
to join our Export Compliance team. This is a
remote
position.
This position includes actively partnering with MANTECH business leaders across the Corporation to build export and import compliance strategies for our international programs and locations. The International Trade Compliance Director will also support process improvements to ensure the MANTECH trade compliance program appropriately addresses the regulatory risks relative to the company's international business activities.
Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
Proactively support and collaborate with key stakeholders in developing effective licensing strategies and submitting necessary export authorization requests.
Manage company technical assistance agreements and export license activity (both ITAR and EAR) including preparation, application, and post approval management phases in DECCS. Prepare and submit export license applications including DSP-5, DSP-6, DSP-73, DSP-61, DSP-85, general correspondence requests, re-transfer letters, and commodity jurisdiction requests via the DECCS system. Review and authorize proper use of ITAR Exemptions and EAR Exceptions.
Perform product jurisdiction and classification analysis to determine regulatory authority.
Maintain a current, comprehensive knowledge of the U.S. Departments of State and Commerce regulations and awareness of changing export control laws and regulations and provide analysis regarding applicability and impact to company products and technologies, as well as existing company policies and procedures. Monitor global import/export regulatory and procedural change and clearly communicate those guidelines to stakeholders.
Educate employees on export/import laws and regulations through both regular training and other communications and outreach methods.
Assist the Empowered Official in auditing company exports and imports for compliance with international trade compliance laws and regulations.
Conduct self-assessments and regular reviews of export filings to Customs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree
10+ years of global trade compliance experience with experience specific to DoD and intelligence community customers - or equivalent experience
Experience drafting and submitting export licenses and agreements, and interpreting and providing guidance on International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) for the licensing of commodities, technologies, and defense services
Experience with U.S. government tools such as DECCS, AES, SNAP-R
Experience with screening programs such as Visual Compliance, Exiger, etc.Experience in use of ITAR exemptions and EAR exceptions for export transactions, experience with FMS programs
Skilled in leading trade compliance tool implementations, including data migration, process development, and employee training
Clearance Requirement

U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
