Job Description: General Description: The Pathways Program Specialist will provide individualized support to a caseload of NOVA Workforce students each week, helping them access resources, track their progress, and stay engaged throughout the program. The specialist will also be responsible for entering and maintaining accurate data in the case management platform and other tracking systems in alignment with grant requirements.

Duties and Tasks:

Provide one-on-one support to a regular caseload of students through Zoom, phone, or in-person check-ins to keep them engaged and on track. Provide comprehensive services that include financial literacy education, career readiness training, wraparound support, and access to short-term credential programs. Assist students in accessing supportive services such as childcare, transportation, technology, and education referrals. Conduct intake screenings for TANF, SNAP, and income eligibility; collect documentation and support students through onboarding. Help students develop personalized service plans and track progress through workshops, micro credentials, and internships. Log all student interactions, case notes, and referrals in Navigate and Google Sheets. Track participation in workshops, use of supportive services, and completion of credentials. Coordinate with finance and admin teams to ensure accurate tracking of invoices and supports for grant reporting. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with FERPA in all data and student information management. Offer consistent, personalized support to students to stay on track, persist through challenges, and achieve their academic and employment goals. Minimum Qualifications:

KSAs:

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in logging and managing case data. Familiarity with case management platforms, CRM tools, or workforce systems like Navigate. Excellent communication and cultural competency when working with diverse populations. Ability to work independently and balance multiple priorities. Ability to work cooperatively with students, instructors and staff; especially as part of a team. Familiarity with wraparound services in Northern Virginia, such as childcare subsidies, transportation support, and workforce programs. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external customers.

Minimum Work Experience:

Experience in student support case management or student support services. Experience with customer service in a higher education setting. Experience with office procedures, managing files, schedules, and paperwork. Experience in data collection Experience with Microsoft Office including Microsoft Outlook Additional Considerations:

Experience working on TANF, SNAP E&T, or federally funded workforce initiatives. Bilingual (especially Spanish) Experience working in an office setting. Experience in tracking data and logging interactions in database systems
