Night Auditor

7:00 pm to 7:00 am.
We are seeking a candidate that has 1+ years of experience as a Hotel Night Auditor and strong customer service skills.
Position Overview:
As the hotel night auditor, you will be responsible for balancing the hotel's accounts by reconciling daily financial transactions, preparing detailed financial and statistical reports for management, and performs guest service duties, including check-ins and check-outs, during the overnight shift. This crucial role requires strong accounting skills, excellent customer service, problem-solving abilities, and a high level of attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of all financial data and a safe, secure environment for guests
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reconciliation
:
Balance all guest and internal accounts, audit and reconcile cashiers' work, and ensure the accuracy of all financial and statistical data recorded. Reporting
:
Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on occupancy, revenue, and other key metrics, which may include Daily Operating Reports, discount programs, and tax reports. Guest Services
:
Handle guest requests, check guests in and out, take reservations, and provide information and assistance to overnight guests. Security & Oversight
:
Monitor hotel operations, manage security, and report any unusual or suspicious activity to ensure a safe and secure environment. Data Management
:
Input financial data into the hotel's property management system (PMS) and other corporate communication networks. Account Maintenance
:
Manage the status of available rooms, post any outstanding charges to guest accounts, and complete the end-of-day process by closing the date in the system. Qualifications
1+ years of experience in a Hotel Night Auditor role. Accounting Skills
:
Basic accounting principles, strong arithmetic skills, and the ability to work with financial data and reports. Customer Service
:
A service-oriented attitude, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle guest needs and diffuse tense situations. Technical Proficiency
:
Competency with computer-based tasks, including data entry, word processing, and hotel management software such as Opera or Maestro. Attention to Detail
:
The ability to identify discrepancies and ensure the accuracy of financial records and reports. Problem-Solving
:
Clear thinking and the ability to use good judgment to resolve problems and handle incidents effectively. Communication
:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report on overnight events and requests to the management team. Flexibility
:
Availability to work overnight shifts and potentially handle tasks from other areas, such as front desk or housekeeping, on occasion.
