QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status. 2. Ability to read, write and understand the English language. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Responsible for safely transporting passengers to and from school. 2. Assist in maintaining order on the bus by enforcing the Board policies and the Rules of the bus. 3. Occupy a seat on the bus where student riders can easily be assisted. 4. Ensure that required protective safety devices are in use and are fastened properly. 5. Assist such students on and off the bus at school, at designated bus stops, and otherwise when it is necessary for their safe entrance and exit from the bus. 6. Assist the driver with post-trip inspection procedures, checking especially for passengers, special equipment, medication, etc. that may have been left on board the bus. 7. Assist with the safety, welfare and orderly conduct of passengers while on the bus.
