Job Summary
The Restaurant General Manager leads the operations and marketing functions of the full-service restaurant. Responsibilities include staffing, training and development, supervision of staff, and improving profitability. The General Manager ensures we are returning every traveler to the road better than they came.
What you’ll do
- Be a leader and inspire your team to meet and exceed company performance standards and improve the restaurant’s potential (e.g., fast and friendly customer service, strong product knowledge, upbeat atmosphere).
- Develop a trusting environment; coach and performance manage staff according to policy.
- Serve customers courteously, quickly and with a positive attitude.
- Provide high-quality food and maintain a clean restaurant environment.
- Recruit, hire, train and retain high-quality team members; foster a culture where team members feel respected and recognized.
- Achieve financial objectives by managing people, product, service and facility processes, with focus on revenue and profit.
- Oversee payroll, accounting, inventory and personnel documentation; ensure accuracy and compliance with laws.
- Adhere to safety standards and follow company vendor guidelines.
- Monitor competitive practices and provide insights to leadership.
- Assume duties of hourly associates as necessary.
Qualifications
- Servant leader who leads by example.
- Ability to lead, motivate, train and develop people.
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in full-service restaurant preferred.
- Strong planning and analytical skills (P&L understanding, coverage ratio, budget and expense reporting).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and some holidays.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; operational understanding of POS software.
- A valid driver’s license is required.

Typical Physical Demands
