Job Description

Job Description A day in the life You start your week wheels-up to a customer’s facility, greeted by the thrum of horizontal and vertical CNC machine tools. You’ll diagnose complex faults, read electrical schematics, step through Fanuc or Siemens PLC logic to isolate issues, replace components, run alignments, and bring the machine back to peak performance. Midweek, you may be back at the Elk Grove Village office providing telephone support, then overnight on-call for an urgent dispatch. Between service calls, you’ll help with in-house machine modifications and re-assembly to prepare equipment for customers. About the company and role Shibaura Machine Company, America—an Illinois corporation since 1975 and a wholly owned subsidiary of Shibaura Machine Co., Ltd.—builds high-quality industrial machinery, including machine tool equipment.
