This position is for a full-time, 12-month, unclassified, in-person staff position located on-site at our Bossier Campus.
Salary commensurate with credentials and experience.

Minimum Qualifications
Completed Master's degree in related discipline, EducationORHigher Education Leadership
Three (3) years of teaching experience in higher education
Two (2) years of successful administrative or leadership experience.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse population.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
Excellent interpersonal, organization, written, and spoken community skills needed with the ability to interact with students, faculty, and staff on a one-on-one basis.
Valid Driver’s license
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate in related discipline or Higher Education Leadership from a regionally accredited institution.
Four (4) or more years of full-time teaching in higher education in a related discipline.
Three (3) or more years as a clinician or supervisory leadership experience in Health Care.
Three (3) or more years of successful supervisory administrative or supervisory leadership experience in higher education.
Demonstrated understanding of the college mission.
Demonstrated ability to develop, implement, grow, and assess a rigorous and relevant curriculum.
Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise and evaluate faculty.
Demonstrated leadership ability in position of increased duties and responsibilities.
Demonstrated ability and resilience to embrace change in the ever-changing environment of higher education.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must have use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear and handle or feel objects and controls.
Must have physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 10 pounds.
Must be capable of sitting in stationary position for 50% or more of time.
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Job Specification
The Assistant Dean of Allied Health shall assist the Dean by providing leadership and management of the day-to-day operations of the academic division at all sites. The Assistant Dean shall represent the division to the broader instructional environment, while conveying the policies of the College and implementing those policies within the division. The Assistant Dean shall maintain commitment to quality instruction, the primary objective of the institution.
Job Duties and Other Information
LEADERSHIP:
Assist the Dean in leading the evaluation, research, and initiation of new programs.
Make recommendations to the Dean on the retention, dismissal, or probationary status of faculty and staff according to prescribed policies and procedures, as assigned.
Actively encourage the use of emerging learning-centered processes by faculty members in division.
Supervise the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of full and part time faculty and staff within the division, as delegated by the Dean.
Operationalize division advising processes, including regularly reviewing and revising advising materials to align with catalog requirements.
Operationalize the activities of the division related to retention, marketing and recruiting, as appropriate.
Address and resolve student concerns, in accordance with college policy and procedure.
Evaluate faculty and staff and participate in classroom observation, as assigned.
Assist the Dean in strategic planning for the division
Develop division procedures and provide assistance to the division for Curriculum and Instruction, Credentialing, Program Approvals, Advisory Boards, and reporting on grant deliverables, as appropriate.
CURRICULUM & INSTRUCTION:
Assist the Dean in the coordination and implementation of faculty teaching assignments by preparing and coordinating class schedules during fall, spring, and summer semesters to meet student needs.
Develop, implement, and assess a rigorous and relevant curriculum with program directors, faculty, and other stakeholders.
Coordinate with area universities and community colleges concerning programs, curricula changes, and negotiations for transferability of courses.
Assist with onboarding and orientation for full and part time faculty and staff, as assigned.
Assist the Dean with ensuring ongoing professional development opportunities for full and part time faculty and staff, as assigned.
Assist the Dean with enrollment management.
Assist the Dean with ensuring the division curriculum meets the needs of students and aligns with college, state and national requirements and accrediting bodies, as appropriate.
Assist in preparing institutional, state, and national reports on a timely basis, as appropriate.
Assist the Dean with the oversight of the alignment of curriculum to ensure students gain the competencies to succeed in transfer programs and career and technical areas.
Work with program directors in transfer and articulation processes, as appropriate.
COMMUNITY & SERVICE:
Actively participate in committee work that promotes the goals of the division.
Actively participate in community activities and advisory boards.
Assist the Dean, where appropriate, in building relationships with the division and community partners.
BUDGET:
Assist the Dean with the oversight of the development and management of the division budget, as assigned.
Assist the Dean with the planning and management of the physical facilities assigned to the division.
Manage and report time keeping for employees within the division.
All other duties as assigned by the Division Dean.
