Summary: Performs duties related to clinical research projects, including investigator initiated, cooperative group, pharmaceutical and device trials. Conducts clinical research studies with investigators while maintaining the highest standards of data security and human subject's protection through the adherence to departmental and Summa policies and procedures (including FDA, OHRP, and HIPAA regulations). Maintains research study compliance, completes case report forms, and provides nursing care.

Minimum Qualifications:

Formal Education Required: a. Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) b. Graduate of a program of professional nursing that is accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) c. Current license to practice registered nursing in the State of Ohio

Experience & Training Required: -At least 2 years of recent professional nursing experience in a hospital or acute care setting. -Two (2) years clinical research experience preferred -Clinical Research Coordinator Certification (CCRC or equivalent) preferred. -Ability to work effectively with a computer and be familiar with Microsoft Office products such as WORD and Excel. -Current license to practice nursing in the State of Ohio

Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications: -Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) -Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills -Ability to work well within a team environment and also autonomously supporting team goals and encouraging fellow team members -Time management skills are necessary to work concurrently on a number of different projects -Attention to detail and an ability to use critical thinking to assess any clinical condition that is applicable to the study being conducted is essential to the protection of human subject research participants. -Ability to travel out of state (less than 10% of the time). -Ability and willingness to acquire research knowledge and training in this position in order to obtain Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) certification through SOCRA/ACRP.

$30.60/hr - $45.90/hr

The salary range on this job posting/advertising is base salary exclusive of any bonuses or differentials. Many factors, such as years of relevant experience and geographical location are considered when determining the starting rate of pay. We believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members when determining offers. Please keep in mind that the range that is listed is the full base salary range. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical.
