About the Role
The Company is looking for a dynamic Vice President of Financial Reporting to spearhead the group's external financial reporting and technical accounting strategies. This influential role is crucial for ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting standards, as well as enhancing financial governance across the organization. The successful candidate will lead a talented team of senior finance professionals while providing mentorship and managing all facets of quarterly and annual financial reporting.
Key tasks will include fostering relationships with external auditors, guiding technical accounting research, and overseeing the establishment of global accounting policies. You will also be in charge of documenting and evaluating internal controls over financial reporting and act as a trusted advisor on technical accounting issues. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, a CPA, and preferably a Master’s degree.
To thrive in this role, you should have at least 15 years of experience, including significant time at a Big 4 public accounting firm and in senior leadership positions within a public company, with a minimum of 5 years of recent SEC reporting involvement. A deep understanding of U.S. GAAP, extensive SEC reporting acumen, and technical accounting expertise are essential. You should also have a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, along with exceptional analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
