Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee a range of commercial and financial claims, including Public and Private D&O, Financial Institutions E&O, EPL, Fiduciary, and Crime/Fidelity claims.
Ensure claims are handled according to best practices throughout all phases, from initial contact to resolution and documentation.
Deliver exceptional customer service through effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
Analyze policies to determine coverage and resolve any related matters in collaboration with outside counsel when necessary.
Prepare written reports and brief management, underwriting, actuary, and reinsurers on claim progress and developments.
Adhere to statutory regulations and Unfair Claims Practices Acts to maintain compliance.
Maintain consistent communication about claim developments, exposure assessments, and requests for authority within claims management.
Participate in mediations and settlement conferences to ensure claims are effectively resolved.
Collaborate with underwriting and business partners to analyze trends and contribute to policy development.
Engage in meetings with current and prospective insureds and brokers, alongside underwriting.
Manage relationships with outside vendors, including attorneys, to oversee litigation and budgets effectively.
Qualifications: 6 to 10 years of experience in a specialty insurance carrier or law firm.
Proven experience in public/private D&O, E&O, or EPL claims, including program claims and MGU/MGA platform experience.
Bachelor's degree and Juris Doctor from an accredited law school are mandatory.
Insurance adjuster licenses must be obtained and maintained by candidates.
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills are essential.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with various management levels and team members.
Solid analytical, investigative, listening, and negotiation skills.
Able to prioritize tasks, multi-task, and work efficiently in a collaborative team environment while paying close attention to detail.
Experience with fast-paced work settings, with the ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Proficient with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Excel, or similar software applications.
Willingness and ability to travel as required.
Availability to work onsite in the office 4 days a week as per corporate policy.
