Our manufacturing client is seeking a
Continuous Improvement Leader/Manager
to drive operational excellence through lean methodologies. This is a critical leadership role, responsible for managing the organization's lean production system, implementing cost-saving initiatives, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement across manufacturing, administrative, and distribution processes. This opportunity is ideal for a change-agent who thrives on structured improvement, team development, and measurable outcomes.
You'll lead a dedicated CI team, oversee daily management systems, and facilitate cross-functional lean events that create lasting impact. If you're passionate about lean systems and want to take on a high-visibility role that influences enterprise-wide performance, this may be your next big move.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the implementation and ongoing development of the PLPS and daily management systems using lean tools. Identify and execute cost reduction opportunities aligned with corporate objectives and ensure thorough documentation for audit purposes. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives across layout design, workflow processes, and integration of lean best practices. Coach and mentor team members and management in lean principles, including value stream mapping, 5S, Kanban, visual controls, and Daily MDI. Conduct annual value stream mapping events across all business sites, including non-manufacturing functions, and track progress toward future state goals. Manage and enhance Daily Management Boards to ensure compliance, visibility, and accountability. Act as a liaison for cross-functional communication and lead corporate-level presentations on continuous improvement outcomes. Identify and address organizational barriers that impede lean adoption. Support the broader PLPS team and help instill a lean-first mindset across all departments. Uphold company safety and quality standards in all initiatives and behaviors. Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required Proven leadership experience in operations, with a strong track record of managing teams and processes. Deep understanding of lean manufacturing tools and techniques, with demonstrated application in real-world environments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all organizational levels. Analytical thinker with the ability to work independently and solve complex problems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, AutoCAD, Visio, and Minitab. Preferred Attributes:
Certification in Lean or Six Sigma (Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent). Experience working in a multi-site or corporate manufacturing environment. Ability to lead through influence and build alignment across departments. Experience with behavioral-based safety programs.
