Lilly recently announced a $4.5 billion investment to create the Lilly Medicine Foundry, a new center for advanced manufacturing and drug development. The first-ever facility of its kind, combining research and manufacturing in a single location, the Medicine Foundry will allow Lilly to further develop innovative solutions to optimize manufacturing processes and increase capacity for clinical trial medicines, while also reducing costs and environmental impact.

Position Summary (cont.)

This individual will join the Talent Acquisition Team tasked with building out the Lilly Medicine Foundry (LMF). Recruitment will be robust, fluid, and dynamic as we endeavor to build a new organization from the ground up. This will require significant collaboration, creativity, and resilience. Recruitment will span across multiple levels and functions including Design and Process Engineering, Analytical, Automation Engineering, Operations (SM/Biologics/Hybrid), Digital Innovation, Process Translation & Execution, FUME, Operational Readiness and Quality. This role will deliver and champion the LMF story, overarching PRD narrative and how the LMF will innovate the drug development landscape.

This role requires 3 days per week on site presence. Final location for this role will be Lebanon, IN but flexibility to work from both Indianapolis and Lebanon will be required throughout 2025 and 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver hi-volume, full life cycle recruitment for a dynamic and evolving organization.
  • Assist with crafting job descriptions and contribute to building sustainable robust recruitment processes.
  • Understand market conditions for targeted talent groups and collaborate with other members of LMF Recruitment Team and peripheral Talent Acquisition partners to effectively identify top talent pools and how to access and engage.
  • Build meaningful partnerships across all business functions in order to understand and support hiring goals.
  • Contribute to building a significant pipeline to feed growth over next several years including execution of a multifaceted sourcing strategy to identify and attract both active and passive candidates.
  • Provide candidates with best-in-class experience, maintaining contact, responsiveness and transparency throughout the process ensuring an elevated level of candidate engagement and positive overall experience.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree OR High School diploma with 6+ years R&D recruiting experience and a successful track record in hi-volume, full life cycle recruiting environment within large pharmaceutical environments.
  • Proven experience building relationships across business functions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to assess skills in order to reveal candidate's scientific/technical background, business capabilities and EQ.
  • Strong interviewing and negotiation skills, and the ability to communicate a compelling recruitment story to potential candidates.
  • Qualified applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Lilly will not provide support for or sponsor work authorization and/or visas for this role.

Additional Preferences

  • BA/BS degree strongly preferred.
  • Must have a strong ability to form effective relationships at all levels.
  • Experience recruiting across all facets of CMC including but not limited to process chemistry, process engineering, chemistry, analytical chemistry, formulation, pilot plant operations, MS/TS, and supply chain.
  • Prior agency experience recruiting in scientific R&D space a strong plus
  • Passionate, high-energy, accountable, and collaborative team player with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
  • Experience with Workday or similar enterprise platform
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and applications (SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook)

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is $69,000 - $129,800. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance). In addition, Lilly offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees, including eligibility to participate in a company-sponsored 401(k); pension; vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities).
