The Honeywell Smart Grid Solutions (SGS) business unit focuses on providing innovative solutions and technologies to enhance energy management and optimize the performance of electrical grids. As a DevOps Platform Engineer

here at Honeywell Smart Energy Solutions, you will play a vital role in managing cloud infrastructure and software architecture of our platforms, implementing and optimizing automated build pipelines and ensuring the reliability and efficiency of high-performing systems. You will have the opportunity to lead changes to our architecture, enhance cloud and server infrastructures, and collaborate with a diverse team of engineers and developers to drive innovation and efficiency across our platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Cloud Infrastructure Management:

Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure on Azure and AWS for web application hosting (Web apps, Function apps, Storage accounts, SQL, VMs).

Deep understanding of networking as it relates to no public IP infrastructure and Hub-Spoke Topology (Private endpoints, VNets, Firewalls, NSG, Load Balancing)

Manage DNS configurations

Certificate lifecycle management

Oracle administration

Collaborate with security team to Implement industry standard cloud security practices (IAM, SSO, WAF, Endpoint Protection, Secure Architectural Design)

Ensure high availability and reliability of the cloud systems.

Automated Build Pipelines:

Design, implement, and manage automated build pipelines and release processes using Azure DevOps.

Collaborate with development teams to enhance deployment strategies and manage software delivery processes.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

Monitor system performance, respond to alerts, and conduct root cause analysis during outages or performance issues.

Work closely with IT and development teams to resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

Create and maintain documentation related to cloud architecture, deployment processes, and operational procedures.

Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions to equip team members with the necessary skills and information.

Continuous Improvement:

Propose and implement best practices for DevOps processes and tools to improve operational efficiency.

Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to DevOps.

YOU MUST HAVE

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics.

Understanding of cloud infrastructure, Azure, deployment/release processes, function apps, storage accounts, VMs

Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines

Understanding of software development life cycle and methodologies.

Experience with Azure
