Job Details
Key Responsibilities
Build, repair, and maintain plastic injection molds, dies, and tooling components Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T specifications Troubleshoot tooling issues and make necessary adjustments or modifications Perform mold assembly, polishing, and preventive maintenance Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production staff to support manufacturing needs Ensure tooling meets quality, safety, and production requirements
Qualifications
5+ years of tool room or mold making experience (plastic injection molding preferred) Strong knowledge of manual machining and precision grinding Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use precision inspection equipment Experience with mold repair, polishing, and preventive maintenance Solid understanding of materials such as tool steel, aluminum, and plastics Journeyman Tool & Die / Mold Maker certification a plus but not required
