Extrusion Resin Operator Helper
OpSource has partnered with a packaging company located in Spartanburg, SC.
This position will report to the Production Manager.
Pay for the position:
$20/hr. Shifts for the position:
12-hour shift Work a 2-2-3 schedule 1 st 7am-7pm 3 rd 7pm-7am Training will be on 1 st shift and can last 3-6 months Job requirements for the position may include:
Supports all activities in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and food safety management systems. Report any quality and/or food safety problems to personnel of authority to initiate action. Receive, inspect and organize incoming resin materials, verifying their quality and conformity to specifications. Transport of resin materials to designated production areas, ensuring timely availability. Monitor resin levels in hoppers, silos or storage tanks to prevent production interruptions. Accurately measure and dispense resin materials according to production requirements. Operate material handling equipment, such as forklifts, hoists or automated systems to transport and dispense resin materials safely and efficiently. Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure functionality. Conduct visual inspections of resin materials to identify any irregularities or contaminants. Report any quality concerns to supervisors or quality control personnel. Maintain accurate records of resin inventory levels and material movements. Collaborate with inventory control teams to perform regular cycle counts and support inventory audits. Identify opportunities to enhance resin handling processes and suggest improvements to optimize efficiency. Communicate effectively with production teams, supervisors and other relevant departments to ensure smooth resin material flow. Adapt to flexible start-up schedule - 12-hour shifts. Maintain regular, reliable attendance. Support and contribute to a healthy and safe working environment by following all workplace regulations, policies and initiatives, including reporting all first aid injuries, accidents and workplace hazards. Qualifications for the position:
Professional background High School Diploma with 2+ years in general warehouse operations. Minimum 1 year experience with material handling equipment, such as forklifts, hoists or automated systems. Ability to read and understand simple written materials. Ability to write simple statements and numbers. Ability to perform arithmetic calculations with fractions and decimals. Previous experience in resin handling or material control within a manufacturing setting preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measuring and recording resin materials. Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting. Physical capability to lift and move resin containers; ability to move up to 50 lbs. as needed. Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse team members and departments. Must be able to work in a team environment. Must be proficient with the English language.
