About the Role

This role is responsible for applying engineering principles, primarily in electronics and PCB assembly, to develop, optimize, and support manufacturing processes across the product lifecycle. The position bridges design and production by ensuring new products are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards.

The Electronics Manufacturing Engineer is a full-time, exempt position. This position will require a broad range of responsibilities to ensure success. Some examples of these responsibilities are listed below (but are not limited to the following):

Process & Product Engineering Apply core engineering principles, especially in electronics and PCB assembly (Power Supply experience a plus), to establish and optimize manufacturing processes and product development. Oversee product design and technical specification development to ensure manufacturability, testability, cost-effectiveness, and efficient assembly and shipment. Production Support

Provide production input and support throughout the product lifecycle. Collaborate with design teams to enable timely and cost-effective new product introductions. Support Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) with production insights. Develop and refine shop floor work instructions to reduce defects and improve quality. Documentation & Lifecycle Management

Maintain and manage product design documentation. Monitor and manage component lifecycle for continuity and availability. Conduct troubleshooting and root cause analysis on production issues. Process Development & Transition

Co-develop production processes in parallel with product design. Lead the transition of new products from Engineering to Production. Assist in defining machines, tools, equipment, and production sequences required for manufacturing. Equipment & Tooling

Recommend and assist in the design of production equipment and tooling. Lead implementation of new manufacturing equipment and support suppliers with tooling design issues. Manufacturing Optimization

Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods using knowledge of materials, design, tooling, assembly, and quality standards. Plan and analyze production studies to optimize equipment utilization, material flow, and labor efficiency. Implement solutions to enhance quality, productivity, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Continuous Improvement & Quality

Advocate for and lead continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing and Total Quality. Collaborate with Quality Assurance on developing and maintaining robust production processes and procedures. Cost Management

Coordinate cost modeling with Purchasing and Inventory Control to support Make/Buy analysis and sourcing decisions. Facility & Equipment Oversight

Oversee maintenance of production and plant safety equipment. Conduct production safety reviews to ensure regulatory compliance and workplace safety. Compliance & Development

Stay current on industry trends, standards, and regulations through training and participation in company meetings, seminars, and educational events. Adhere to all company policies, safety regulations, and ISO/QMS processes. General

Perform other essential duties as assigned. Systems Used:

Solid Works, Solidworks Electrical AutoCAD Altium Software Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Word, PPT, Excel) CSI UKG Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field. 3-7 years of experience in electronics manufacturing or production engineering. Experience working with power supply, electromechanical assembly and test activities preferred. Experience working in an ESD work environment. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and adapt to a fast-paced work environment. Knowledge of safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality control procedures.
