Fathering Specialist - Strong Fathers

Job Summary
The Fathering Specialist is focused on helping men become stronger fathers for their children and families.
Major Responsibilities/Activities Comprehensive case management services including individual/group counseling and other services to non-custodial 18+ years of age fathers interested in being more involved in the life of their child or children Conduct Parenting classes and other group work Interview non-custodial fathers/consumers to assess needs and readiness for service Develop and implement a service plan with each non-custodial father Coordinate services with Life/Career Coach Provide face-to-face contact with clients at least twice a month Attend meetings and conferences with service providers and other related agencies and organizations involved with the consumer Provide crisis intervention to non-custodial fathers Document all activities and attempted activities related to planning and service provision for fathers Maintain and manage all record-keeping requirements as they relate to specific clients on caseload in a timely and accurate manner Participate in unit meetings, in-service training and other activities designed to enhance job performance Client recruitment Assist in emergency situations Other duties as required by the supervisor or needs of the program/agency Minimum Requirements
Bachelors from an accredited college or university Great organizational, written and verbal communication skills Energetic, self-directed and goals-focused approach to work with our non-custodial fathers Valid NYS Driver's License preferred and must possess the ability to travel Candidate must be flexible; evenings and weekend hours may be required Salary Range:
Bachelors - $29.12/hr - $31.04/hr
Bachelors (Bilingual)- $30.22/hr - $32.15/hr
Masters - $30.22/hr - $33.24/hr
Masters (Bilingual) - $31.59/hr - $34.34/hr
Masters (Bilingual & License) - $34.43/hr - $37.09/h
