The Senior Brand Manager, Innovation, Ferrero Global Brands will play a critical role in supporting the growth of Ferrero Global Brands into ice cream as well as shaping a long-term innovation strategy that involves commercializing
new
Ferrero Global Brands to our category. It is the responsibility of the Senior Brand Manager to facilitate a company of experts in creating and commercializing disruptive, differentiated new products that will lead the growth of the company. This role requires more than a traditional understanding of consumer insights, brand marketing and product development as it necessitates an expert leader of the full innovation process. It is crucial that this leader have a deep understanding of how to combine disparate consumer data points and derive meaningful insights that lead to breakthrough ideas. The Senior Brand Manager will also have expertise in working with speed and agility with all cross-functional team partners, especially R&D and operations, to bring a commercial focus to yield much more than big ideas, but successful in-market innovation. The Senior Brand Manager will report to the Senior Marketing Director, Innovation.
Responsibilities Include: Innovation strategy: partner with Central Innovation, USA Brand stakeholders and channel leaders to identify the role innovation plays in helping each meet its long-term growth goals Consumer insights: understand methods of research (both qualitative and quantitative) and immersion that result in clear, actionable consumer insights Empathy: own a deep understanding of the consumer context situations, challenges and motivations that shape our core consumer's behavior Creativity: lead ideations, develop concepts and work with design agencies on packaging structure and design Product development: partner with Central Innovation team, Central and Local R&D teams, procurement, and operations to develop differentiated products that can be efficiently manufactured Strategic communication: make recommendations to bring vision, analytical rigor and focus to guide decisions and prioritization Marketing partnership: collaborate with Central Innovation and Ferrero USA Brand team members to develop packaging creative, sales materials and to guide consumer communication Sales partnership: participate in buyer meetings and the development of channel-led innovation opportunities Team/project management: develop clear strategies, define project scope, timelines and business cases, and lead cross-functional teams to successfully create and execute winning innovation Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Marketing or Sales. MBA preferred. 6-10 years of experience in brand management, including relevant experience in innovation or combination of MBA and experience. 5+ years of experience developing and commercializing new products Strong written and verbal communication including expertise in concept writing Ability to influence decisions with cross-functional stakeholders and Central Innovation stakeholders Track record of building teams, creating positive culture and ways of working and fostering experimentation Comfortable working in ambiguity and able to bring strategic thinking to undefined areas and opportunities Demonstrated ability to identify insights that have led to ideas and resulted in winning products Possesses critical thinking and decision making skills. Problem solving skills, functional and technical skills, written and verbal communication skills, relationship management and interpersonal skills, analytical skills, insight generation. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
The base pay range for this position is $128,501 to $179,902 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors permitted by law. This pay range represents the anticipated salary for this position at this time.
