POSITION:
2.0 Hours Per Day Nine (9) Month Position (188 days), Monday through Friday Salary Range: $18.94 - $23.12 per hour GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The responsibility of the Student Supervision Aide in this position is to supervise students as directed by supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have or be able to obtain a Student Supervision Aide Permit through the Ohio Department of Education. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to supervise students. Training and/or experience in maintaining the safety of students while serving as a positive role model. Ability to work in a fast paced sometimes hectic environment. Ability to accurately follow written or verbal directions. Ability to work with students, staff and parents. Ability to work empathically with at-risk students. Ability to control temper, keep calm, and respond quickly. Ability to maintain confidentiality with appropriate parties at all times. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Supervise and assist students as needed. Request and collect assignments from the teachers. Attend scheduled meetings with an administrator and guidance as required. Assist students with assignments. Be knowledgeable of rules and regulations of the building and see that they are properly implemented.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assists co-workers as required. Performs other tasks as may be required by administration.
INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS AND PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS:
Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissues. Occasional interaction among unruly students.
