Maintenance Mechanic, Oakwood, GA
Shift: Day 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday
Starting Pay $28.00 - $34.00 per hour based on experience
Mandatory overtime as necessary
This position requires experience in industrial maintenance encompassing areas such as packaging, filling, electrical work, conveyors, piping, pump operations, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be a critical part of the production team, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are performing at top notch! Your work will directly affect people's lives!
Primary Responsibilities Repair & Maintenance all equipment including piping, filters, mixers, conveyors, pumps, valves, bearings, and mechanical drives and seals, motors, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics and hydraulic systems. Repair, maintain and troubleshoot plant utility and infrastructure systems and equipment. Interpret detailed technical information such as blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals to install, repair, and maintain equipment. Maintain equipment, spare parts and work order records as needed. Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, electrical maintenance and/or related skilled trades. Experience using basic hand tools and power hand tools. Welding and fabrication skills are a plus Excellent communication from explaining equipment to operators on the floor to presenting recommendations to management. Computer and PLC skills - experience with Allen Bradley Panel view systems and Allen Bradley PLC networking equipment desired. Understanding the basics of hydraulic theory, understanding of applicable utility systems; and understanding of plant instrumentation/control system such as level detection, temperature measurement, mass and magnetic flow meters.
