Overview
The Custodian/Cleaner is responsible for the overall cleanliness of all areas of the facility to ensure a positive member experience.
Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, fitness equipment and gym floor.
- Stock locker rooms with proper supplies and paper products.
- Properly dispose of trash and maintain trash cans.
- Clean and dust items high off the ground (e.g., ceiling fans, TVs, rafters).
- Report any broken or missing amenities or equipment (toilets, faucets, showers, hair dryers, gym equipment, etc.) to the Club Manager.
- Follow the Lost and Found Policy and return lost member property to the Club Manager/Assistant Club Manager immediately.
Qualifications / Requirements
- Custodial experience is preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Punctuality and reliability are required.
- Honesty and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to solve problems independently.
- Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions with appropriate behavior and language.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
Physical Demands
- Continual standing and walking during shift.
- Occasionally lift over 80 pounds.
- Exposure to toxic chemicals.
- Frequent cleaning and sanitizing of equipment and facilities.
- Move in various positions, including bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and twisting, to accomplish tasks.
