The Finance Manager plays a key role in technical accounting, financial reporting, and process improvement. This position supports global finance teams and partners cross-functionally to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and corporate accounting policies.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with the accounting research process, including staying current on changes to accounting pronouncements and guidance under U.S. GAAP, interpreting new requirements, and preparing position papers on complex accounting issues
Prepare the annual goodwill impairment test
Align with internal partners such as sales, procurement, operations, and regional/corporate finance to identify, research, and conclude on technical accounting issues
Identify, drive, and be accountable for areas of improvement within current accounting processes
Assist with providing training to global finance staff on the implementation of accounting policies published by corporate finance
Lead business and accounting-related projects focused on improving the effectiveness and efficiency of business and accounting processes and related management controls
Lead and assist in opening balance sheet procedures related to acquired businesses
Lead accounting processes related to share-based compensation plans, including coordination with HR and tax, reviewing month-end journal entries, and preparing related disclosures
Administer the global lease accounting software, liaising with global record-to-report teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of lease information; review lease accounting for acquired businesses and key controls
Prepare and review other month-end or quarter-end close activities related to joint venture accounting, legal fees, environmental matters, asset retirement obligations, etc.
Prepare the quarterly accounting disclosure checklist in connection with SEC filings
Prepare the quarterly ROIC calculation for purposes of measuring and recording expense for the long-term incentive program
Assist in preparing footnotes and sections of MD&A for quarterly and annual SEC filings and reviewing SEC filings for internal consistency
Assist with other finance and accounting projects as deemed necessary
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
At least 6 years of relevant work experience
Alternatively, Master's degree with 4 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
Experience with technical accounting and SEC reporting
Preferred Requirements
Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA or CMA certification
Experience with global lease accounting systems
Strong analytical and project management skills
Ability to communicate complex accounting concepts clearly

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, and geographic location.
The salary for this role is $105,000 - $136,000.
