Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced warehouse environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse distribution and be proficient in operating various types of material handling equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient movement of goods within our facility, contributing to our overall operational success.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment, including clamp trucks and pallet jacks, to move materials safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling of goods to prevent damage.
• Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems for accurate inventory tracking and order picking.
• Assist in shipping and receiving processes, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against packing lists.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
• Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functionality and report any mechanical issues.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.

Experience

• Previous experience in warehouse operations or distribution is preferred, with a focus on materials handling.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, cranes, and order pickers.
• Knowledge of shipping & receiving processes, as well as experience with warehouse management systems.
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to perform basic maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Ability to lift heavy loads safely and efficiently while following safety protocols.
