Robotic Welding Operator – Midnight Shift

Location: Niles, OH
Pay: $16.00 – $17.00 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-time (4-day workweek)
Shift: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Jet Stream International is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Robotic Welding Operator to support overnight production in our manufacturing facility. This position operates robotic weld cells and occasionally supports press brakes, rivet stations, and other machinery to produce cold-formed steel parts.

This is a midnight shift position working four 10-hour days — giving you a consistent schedule and three-day weekends.

Pay & Schedule

• Hourly rate: $16.00 – $17.00
• Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 8:30 PM – 7:00 AM
• 40 hours/week, occasional overtime or weekend work as needed

Essential Responsibilities

• Operate robotic welding cells to support production
• Perform basic tasks such as punching, forming/bending, rolling, taping, deburring, and measuring
• Conduct visual inspections for weld defects (porosity, undercutting, penetration)
• Perform daily and scheduled preventative maintenance
• Detect and report material issues or machine malfunctions to supervisor
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety protocols
• Accurately enter data into systems for production tracking

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or GED
• 6–12 months of machine operation or welding-related experience
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift 10–30 lbs. regularly
• Willingness to learn and accept feedback on machine setup

Preferred:

• 12–18 months of experience with robotic weld cells
• Familiarity with tools such as dial calipers, protractors, hand tools
• Ability to complete forklift certification within 90 days of hire

Work Environment

• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles
• Loud noise and vibration from mechanical equipment
• Frequent standing, walking, climbing, crouching, and lifting up to 30 lbs. (occasionally 50 lbs.)

Location Requirements

Applicants must be able to commute to or relocate to Niles, OH 44446 prior to starting work.
