Location: Houston, TX and Georgia (travel required)

Reports To: QA/QC Manager

Employment Type: Full-time

Salary Range: $90,000 - $140,000 annually

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector with strong expertise in steel welding. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with industry standards, company specifications, and project requirements. This role involves inspection, certification verification, and oversight of welding operations in the state of Texas and and Georgia locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct inspections of steel welding processes and finished welds in accordance with applicable codes and standards (AWS, ASME, API, etc.).
  • Verify welder qualifications and certifications in Houston and Georgia projects.
  • Review and approve welding procedure specifications (WPS) and procedure qualification records (PQR).
  • Perform quality audits and ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures.
  • Document non-conformances, corrective actions, and maintain inspection reports.
  • Liaise with project managers, clients, and regulatory agenciesRegarding quality compliance.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in welding and fabrication processes.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5–7 years experience as QA/QC Inspector in steel welding.
  • Certifications such as AWS CWI, ASNT Level II (MT, PT, UT, RT), API 510/570 preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of welding codes and standards (AWS D1.1, ASME Section IX).
  • Experience with quality management systems and audit processes.
  • Ability to work across Houston and Georgia projects.
  • Excellent reporting, documentation, and communication skills.

Work Conditions

  • Frequent travel between Houston and Georgia worksites.
  • Combination of field and office environment.
  • Must be able to climb, lift, and perform inspections in industrial settings.
