We have an exciting position open for an Industrial Engineer in our Cary, IL location. This role provides engineering leadership and support to high-speed, automated assembly operations. This role is responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of automated processes, systems, and equipment. The engineer will lead initiatives to improve manufacturing productivity, increase uptime, and implement cost-reduction strategies.
This is how your journey begins:
Lead and prioritize process engineering projects to meet strategic and annual goals. Design and develop high-speed equipment and machinery to support production and process engineering needs. Identify and implement automation solutions to improve quality, reduce costs, increase yield, and minimize downtime. Source, evaluate, qualify, and install new equipment and technologies. Modify and integrate existing equipment to enhance manufacturing processes. Introduce innovative assembly technologies into production environments. Provide technical direction and training to staff on new equipment and processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality) to ensure smooth product launches. Utilize simulation and CAD tools to model and optimize systems and processes. Continuously seek and implement new technologies to advance manufacturing capabilities. Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Degrees in other engineering disciplines may be considered based on relevant experience. Experience
5-15 years of manufacturing engineering experience, ideally in high-speed automated assembly environments. Demonstrated expertise in automation within manufacturing settings. Proficient in PLC programming, including Siemens S5 and S7 logic. Experience with robotics is a strong plus. Skills
Proficient in 3D CAD software for design and modeling (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong problem-solving abilities with a proven track record of resolving manufacturing issues. Familiarity with FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), DOE (Design of Experiments), and Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Excellent project management skills, including experience leading cross-functional technical task forces. Skilled in needs analysis, issue identification, and meeting critical deadlines. Committed to continuous professional development through training and skill enhancement. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams. Above-average communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce clear and concise technical reports. A good listener, open to new ideas and innovation from all levels of the organization. Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision. What we offer:

$85,000-125,000
. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
