Overview

We are looking for a Dental Hygienist to help treat patients and promote good oral health. New graduates are welcome to apply. Applicants should be reliable and comfortable with patients of all ages. It is a vital aspect of the position to build trusting relationships with our patients. A thorough ability to recognize and help diagnose any oral disease is essential.

Schedule

The position is Monday and Tuesday (10 - 6), Wednesday and Thursday (7:30 - 2:00).

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and root planing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup.
• Perform comprehensive oral hygiene assessments and educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices.
• Administer fluoride treatments and apply sealants as needed.
• Take digital dental X-rays and maintain accurate patient records.
• Maintain infection control protocols and ensure the cleanliness and sterilization of instruments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from an accredited program
• Current state license (Ohio) and x-ray certification
• Excellent understanding of dental hygiene procedures
• Knowledge of aseptic and sterilization techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office
