• Coverage Type: Clinical Only
• Coverage Period: 11/01/2025 - 02/28/2026
• Clinical Shift Schedule: 3 shifts weekly, 7p - 7:30a
COVERAGE DATES • 11/01/2025 - 02/28/2026 • Night shifts, 3 shifts per week (7p - 7:30a)
PATIENT INFORMATION • Patient Demographics: Adults, critically ill ICU patients • Patient Volume/Census: 10-15 ICU patients per APP per shift (with attending MD present) • Admissions: Yes, new ICU admissions included • Rounding: Yes, participation in multi-disciplinary ICU rounds • Phone Consults: No • Case Mix: General critical care/ICU
FACILITY INFORMATION • EMR System: Cerner • Specialty Backup Available: Attending physicians on-site • Support Staff Available: ICU nursing staff, multi-disciplinary team • Reason for Coverage: Supplemental critical care coverage
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE • Hospital Privileges Required: Yes • Temporary Privileges Available: Yes • Credentialing Timeline: TBD (case logs required for ICU procedures)
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Coverage not specified (local candidates preferred)
REQUIRED PROCEDURES • Central line insertions (CVLs, vascaths, introducers) • Arterial line insertions • Ongoing ICU patient assessments and interventions
JOB REQUIREMENTS • Licenses: Valid national and Georgia state licensure required • Board: For NPs, Acute Care certification required • DEA: Not specified, assumed required for prescriptive authority • Certifications: National certification as ACNP or PA • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years as an APP in an ICU setting • Other Qualifications: Proficiency with ICU procedures; case logs for credentialing
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage critically ill patients in a high-acuity ICU setting • Collaborate with attending physicians on care planning and updates • Conduct patient assessments and implement interventions • Order entry and documentation in Cerner EMR • Interpret diagnostic tests and communicate findings • Participate in multi-disciplinary ICU rounds each shift • Perform central and arterial line insertions per credentialing requirements
