Salary : $12.00 per hour Description
The Gator Success Institute (GSI) is seeking a dependable and engaged student to support daily operations at the office. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop leadership, communication, and administrative skills in a dynamic, student-centered environment.
Duties: Answers and assists with department phone calls Performs general clerical work (copying, filing, distributing mail, data entry) Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars Interacts with all levels of university personnel, students, and the general population Greets visitors and directs them to the appropriate offices or departments Assists students, faculty, and staff Assists with events and initiatives sponsored by the Gator Success Institute Assists the office staff as needed Runs errands within the university campus buildings All other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must have effective verbal/written communication skills Must have the ability to multitask and interact professionally with students, faculty, and staff Must be familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Must be well-organized, responsible, punctual, and a self-starter Qualifications:
Must be a current UHD student and in good standing with the university Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA Must be awarded Federal Work-Study funding through the UHD Office of Financial Aid Must be willing to work mornings, midday, evenings, and weekends
