DEMAND & FULFILLMENT MANAGER
Job Summary
The Demand & Fulfillment manager for Footwear is responsible for leading the strategic distribution of product across retail channels to maximize sales, inventory productivity, and consumer satisfaction. This role combines leadership, analytics, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. You will manage a team of Allocation Analysts and work closely with Planning, Buying, and Supply Chain teams.
What You'll do Strategic Allocation Leadership Develop and execute allocation strategies aligned with seasonal assortment plans and store profiles. Lead in-season inventory management, identifying risks and recommending actions (e.g., reallocation, cancellations). Prioritize key styles and ensure core sizes are protected across channels.
Team Management
Manage and mentor a team of Allocation Analysts, fostering growth and performance. Ensure consistent use of tools, reports, and best practices across the team. Set clear goals and KPIs for allocation performance and team development.
Business Analysis & Reporting Analyze sales, inventory, and turn metrics to inform allocation decisions. Create and evolve reporting tools to support business insights and decision-making. Present allocation performance and recommendations to senior leadership. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Planning, Buying, Supply Chain, and Store Operations to align on product flow and execution. Serve as the key connection between field teams and corporate planning. Collaborate with Marketplace Ops to ensure timely and efficient product delivery. What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in business, Merchandising, Supply Chain, or related field. 5+ years of experience in allocation, planning, or inventory management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of retail math and inventory KPIs. Proficiency in allocation systems and tools (e.g., JDA, SAP, Excel, Centric). Excellent communication, leadership, and analytical skills. Preferred Skills
Experience in footwear or fashion retail. Ability to influence cross-functional teams using data-driven insights. Familiarity with omni-channel retail strategies and store segmentation.
