The

Production Manager

ensures operational excellence by directing the Fabrication Department through effective manpower and resource allocation, adherence to project schedules, and continuous improvement of core operational processes. Schedule:

Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm | Must be flexible and have some weekend availability

What You'll Do

Drive operational output by overseeing the assembly and production cycle, including material and resource planning, monitoring project schedules, reporting, and providing leadership to direct reports. Identify and implement work procedures and process improvements by applying lean manufacturing concepts to reduce man-hours, increase productivity, improve on-time client deliveries, decrease operational costs, and maintain superior product quality. Collaborate with the Manufacturing Manager to implement lean manufacturing techniques that improve quality and reduce costs. Lead workforce planning and forecasting for present and future manpower needs, and actively participate in hiring decisions within the department. Initiate and execute projects that improve production efficiency, reduce costs, enhance product quality, and promote workplace safety. Coordinate with Manufacturing and Engineering teams to adjust schedules based on client requirements and manpower availability. Clearly communicate performance expectations, project updates, and process changes to direct reports to maintain a high-performing, engaged team. Ensure a safe work environment through strict adherence to 5S safety standards and compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations. Oversee foremen to ensure they dedicate at least 80% of their time to value-adding activities. Manage and monitor the manufacturing cross-training program to promote employee development and flexibility. Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervises 20+ employees in the Production Department. Responsibilities include staffing, scheduling, performance management, training, rewarding, and disciplining employees in accordance with company policies and applicable laws. This role acts as a change agent and develops a high-performing team committed to delivering exceptional service to internal and external partners.

Qualifications

Education/Certifications

High School Diploma/GED, Required. Associate's Degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred. Certification in continuous improvement methods (e.g., ASQ Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma) preferred. Experience

5+ years in a manufacturing supervisory role, preferably in a job shop or similar manufacturing environment, with proven success in process improvement, Required 4+ years of hands-on fabrication experience, Required Prior experience managing teams of 10+ employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, Required 3 years in oil and gas, energy, and/or marine markets preferred. Skills & Knowledge

Strong leadership, workforce planning, and team development abilities. Knowledge of lean manufacturing, production processes, quality control, and cost optimization. Familiarity with engineering principles, mechanical systems, and manufacturing equipment. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Basic math proficiency. Physical Demands / Working Conditions

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crawl, reach, and balance. Work primarily performed in an office setting with regular visits to the manufacturing floor. Requirements
