13 weeks Start Date:
October 26, 2025 End Date:
February 28, 2026 Shifts:
12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), variable schedule Hours:
48 hours/week guaranteed with overtime after 48 hours worked Weekend/Holiday:
Every other weekend and holiday rotation required Float:
May float to MSICU and other critical care units as needed Registered Nurse Qualifications
Associate Degree or Certificate in Nursing (minimum); BSN preferred Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license BLS and ACLS certifications required NIHSS certification preferred At least 2 years of ICU nursing experience; prior travel RN assignment preferred Strong clinical background in Neuro ICU and/or Med/Surg ICU Proficient in EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) charting Experience with neuro assessments, EVDs, ICP monitoring, and ICU bedside procedures Resilient, adaptable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment Neuro ICU RN Responsibilities
Provide high-quality nursing care to neurocritical patients (stroke, TBI, head injury, post-neurosurgery) Conduct neuro assessments and perform basic ICU procedures (line placement, intubation) Assist neurosurgery team with bolt and drain placements at the bedside Monitor and manage patients with EVDs and ICP devices Float to MSICU and other critical care units as needed Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
