Franciscan Medical Group, part of Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, is currently seeking a full time Clinic RN-Cardio for our Franciscan Heart and Vascular Associates in Burien, WA. This position is full time with no weekends, nights or organizationally recognized holidays required.

This job is responsible for providing professional nursing services which focus on the provision of quality patient care for cardiac patients in an ambulatory setting, in alignment with CHI Franciscan Health standards/values, regulatory requirements, and FMG Scope of Practice policy.

Responsibilities

• Administers cardiovascular and pharmacological stress tests with imaging modalities and IV therapy as appropriate; interprets EKG findings in accordance with standard protocols.
• Completes cardiac risk assessment forms for cardiac clearance for new/additional clinical/diagnostic tests/protocols; forwards assessments to Cardiologist for final determination.
• Reviews protocols for each procedure/study and provides patient with tailored training/information based on medical history and physician protocols.
• Performs nursing triage activities as initial point of contact, within scope of licensure; triages cardiac patients/situations and escalates more complex, urgent or emergent cases as needed.
• Documents studies, procedures, and interactions in the patient’s electronic medical record; enters, pends and signs orders as appropriate.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing and two years of related work experience; cardiology-related experience preferred.

License/Certification

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
• Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Pay and Work Details

Pay Range
$43.83 - $65.03 /hour
