Position Overview

As a Lube/Fuel Service Technician, you will be responsible for preventative maintenance aspects of equipment, including but not limited to mobile power generators, wheel loaders, dozers, track hoes, and skid steers. You will manage your time and track parts/tools for the areas assigned.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties And Functions)

  • Understand and implement company safety policies and be a safety leader in daily work (PPE, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Spaces, Working at Heights, Risk Assessment).
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Help ensure the reliability and performance of equipment.
  • Handle problems professionally in high-pressure situations.
  • Perform preventative maintenance schedules according to company specifications.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, the candidate should be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Personal tools may be required.

Education/Experience

  • Associates Degree or equivalent work experience as outlined in the job specification.
  • 2 years of technical field experience servicing heavy equipment and trucks.

Work Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to work well with others in a group or one-on-one setting.
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to type and use keyboards; knowledge of database software.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License with a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A), preferably with tanker and Hazmat endorsements.
  • MSHA and OSHA training is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of Windows-based computers.

Physical Requirements

The role may require sitting, climbing, and handling equipment; occasional standing, walking, crawling, kneeling, bending, and reaching; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth perception.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, outdoor weather, and extreme temperatures. Noise level is usually moderate to loud. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
