Position Details

Position: Maintenance Technician
Location: Millersburg, PA
Hourly Rate: $27 - $30 per hour, plus $2.00 per hour for SD. Rate based on experience from the technical interview
Experience: 4+ years as a maintenance tech in a manufacturing plant
Shift: 7pm–7am, 2/2 Schedule

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform all work in a safe manner following company safety policies and procedures
• Maintain, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and repair equipment in the assigned area under the guidance of higher-level utility mechanics
• Maintain open and accurate communication with other maintenance employees and supervisor
• Complete all assigned work orders completely and accurately, documenting completion details
• Maintain Maintenance, Repair, and Operations documentation and Proteus entry as dictated by tasks
• Perform technical maintenance tasks under supervision
• Provide information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories
• Work with outside contractors to complete projects and improvements when possible
• Maintain facility grounds and services

Requirements, Qualifications, Skills and Abilities

• Technical or trade school degree, or a combination of high school diploma/G.E.D. plus 2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Basic understanding of industrial electricity
• Knowledge of energy sources for each utility equipment (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic); PLC experience a plus
• Ability to maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.)
• Ability to work independently when directed
• Basic understanding of schematics and blueprints
• Basic understanding of diagnostic equipment (ohm meters, voltage meters, etc.) and power equipment (cut-off saws, demo-saws, drills, etc.)
• Compliance with OSHA and company regulations (Lock Out Tag Out, PPE, etc.)
• Understanding of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations and Proteus procedures
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
