Avery Healthcare is one of the UK's largest providers of luxury elderly care homes, with a network of over 100 homes. We are seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Housekeeping Assistant to join our award-winning team in Kettering.
Job responsibilities
Package Description: At Avery Healthcare, we support the people who care for our residents. You will be part of a close-knit team and help deliver high-quality housekeeping and laundry services in the home. You will work according to our standard operating procedures for housekeeping and laundry and maintain hotel service standards. Responsibilities include:
- Carrying out all cleaning duties in accordance with worksheet instructions.
- Understanding the cleaning requirements of different surfaces and coverings and the properties of cleaning materials; ensuring areas are well presented and maintained.
- Ensuring that all residents are treated with dignity and respect, and that their personal space and belongings are respected.

Our ideal candidate must have:
- Knowledge of Health and Safety, particularly Moving and Handling techniques, Fire Safety and COSHH assessments.
- Experience of cleaning laundry in a public setting.
- Compassion and commitment to delivering high-quality housekeeping and laundry services to residents.
- Ability to be adaptive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities at short notice.
